India celebrated 77th Independence Day on August 15th 2023. The theme for this year celebration is “Nation First, Always First”. This theme is in line with the government’s focus on National unity and development. Sr. Suhani BS, Treasurer of BES was the Chief Guest who hoisted the Tricolour flag to instill patriotism in students and spread awareness about the struggle that India had to go through, the patriotic leaders involved and much more. Students performed in cultural events to instill the thoughts of Nationalism which reminds of individual contribution towards our nation.
