Diwali and Karnataka Rajyotsava Celebration

Diwali is a festival of lights that symbolises the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. Keeping this in mind, the students of Presentation CBSE School celebrated the festival in great enthusiasm and joy on October 29th, 2024.Pre school and Pre primary were told the story of Diwali by their teacher and together they sang festive rhymes. They expressed their creativity by painting and decorating diyas and crafting them using paper plates, which they adorned with vibrant colours and sparkles. Each child also made a special Diwali card to take home, sharing the festive spirit with her family. The activity filled the classroom with excitement and colourful creations, making it a memorable celebration for all. The day was marked by a special assembly by class 5 in the School auditorium. Students showcased the spirit of Diwali through a skit, speech, poem, and a dance presentation, adding exuberance and bringing great happiness and joy to the audience. The assembly concluded with Principal Sr. Sylvia narrating a short story about the legend and the significance of the festival.

On the 1st of November, Presentation CBSE School proudly celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava, marking the formation of the state of Karnataka. A vibrant line-up of cultural activities followed the flag ceremony, showcasing the beauty of Kannada language and culture. Students performed traditional tiger dance, which brought out the spirit of Kannada folklore. The event also featured colourful fancy dress activity, where students portrayed famous personalities from Karnataka, including poets, freedom fighters, and folk legends. In addition, the school choir performed popular Kannada songs. The program concluded with an inspiring speech by the Principal Sr.Sylvia who encouraged students to take pride in their heritage and to contribute positively to the state and society.
