Established in 2016, Presentation Convent Lower Higher Primary School, Dharwad  is administered by the Bethany educational society, Mangalore, a Christian Religious Minority Institution, registered under the societies Registration Act XX1 of 1860 (Registration No.17 of 1948-1949.) The society has its head office at Bethany convent Mangalore, Karnataka. All the members of the Bethany educational Society are catholic nuns belonging to the Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany. The Society runs formal and non-formal educational institutions all over the country.

Rt. Rev. Msgr. Raymond Francis Camillus Mascarenhas, the Founder of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, under whose patronage this school was established, was consumed by an unflagging Zeal for the education of the poor and marginalized specially the rural girls. He longed for the total emancipation of Indian women and was convinced that it could not be achieved without education. His spirit of service was supported by a strong scaffolding of prayer and faith in God. He was a man of vision. His penetrating vision enabled him to look far ahead, and direct his work to fulfill the future needs. He was modest and compassionate. His charisma can be summarized in one phrase “service born out of love”

The school was founded on 1st  June 2016. It is to be affiliated to the central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.

 

HISTORY OF SCHOOL
Unless we try to do something beyond what we have already mastered, we will never grow..... The vision of Mgr R.F.C. Mascarenhas, our Founder, unfolded itself in the opening of new Presentation Convent Lower/Higher Primary English Medium (CBSE) School on 1 June 2016.  This was the new venture of Western Province to educate and empower girls. The school is located in Saidapur, near K C Park, Dharwad, Karnataka.

The School adheres to the curriculum / syllabus laid down by CBSE, New Delhi and has classes from Std I to X. It offers excellent facilities in all spheres of education and sports. We have highly qualified and well experienced faculties who are always at the student’s call. Value-based quality education is prime on our agenda.

We engage the children in thought-provoking exercises, through diverse methods to achieve the fullness of life, set the thinking process in motion. A whole range of co-curricular activities are rolled out to children, so that they put their skills to test, learn new ones, and add to their personality.  New talent is discovered.  All this leads to turning out a potential product to be successful.

We take personal care of the children and endeavor to see that each child looks forward to another happy day at school.
